Our Green Redecoration project started with stripping all of the rooms and painting them with Sherman Williams Harmony® Interior Latex Paints.
These paints are an ideal choice for environmentally preferred interior house paint. Designed with anti-microbial properties, Harmony Interior Latex offers a zero-VOC, low odor and silica-free coating that allows occupancy of newly painted spaces. Harmony Paints are rated Green Sure. |

We use LG High Efficiency Tromm Washers in our laundry facility. This allows us to use high efficiency and biodegradeable products in our laundry service for both the resort and spa.
To further reduce our energy usage we implemented the following:
- Energy efficient lighting in every cottage
- Pool is not heated
- All of our water heaters are wrapped
- Our windows are double-paned.

Water Conservation |
Our water conservation programs include our:
- Linen and Towel reuse program. The Resort is dedicated to protecting the environment through conservation of water and decreased use of detergent. If you are staying with us for more than one night, as part of our Green Resort program, we will launder your linens and exchange your towels every three days.
- Plants and Gardens are on drip system reducing the need for large quantities of water.
- All of our bathrooms have low flow toilets and shower heads.

Our Recycling and Reusing programs go beyond providing recycling bins on the property and in every cottage. We look for ways to reuse art and furnishings too. We promote a paperless work environment and communicate with our guests via email and our website as much as possible. If you have art or nice furnishings that you would like to donate to our Reuse program, we'd love to hear from you. All that we don't use, we donate to a local AIDS charity. |
Air Quality |
All of our rooms are smoke-free. We reserve our full kitchen units for those with pet allergies. |
Food |
Our extended continental breakfast includes a variety of produce and vegetarian options. We use bulk bottled drinking water on the property instead of individual plastic water bottles to reduce the impact we have on landfill. |

*** Green Sure is only those products that offer maximum performance, long-term durability and have the highest indoor air quality ratings for low VOC and low odor and meet or exceed the GS-11 criteria for coatings used in Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certified buildings earn the GreenSure designation. (LEED certification means that certain "green building" standards are met, such as energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality.)
